Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 2, 2026
Introduction
LumaSeer (“LumaSeer,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) develops Lou Minati, a personal AI assistant mobile application (“Lou Minati” or the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information Lou Minati collects, how it’s used, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using Lou Minati, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address (used for passwordless sign-in via a one-time code)
- If you sign in with Google or Apple instead: the display name and profile photo those providers share with us
- A device identifier and basic device information (platform, first/last seen), used to manage your signed-in devices and sessions
We never see or store your password for Google or Apple sign-in, and Lou Minati itself has no password of its own to store — sign-in is always by one-time email code or through Google/Apple.
Content you create in Lou Minati
Lou Minati’s core features work by remembering things you tell it. This includes:
- Commitments, routines, and your completion history for them
- End-of-day reflections you choose to write
- Personal memories and preferences you ask Lou to remember
- Your conversations with Lou (“Ask Lou”)
We store the items above (commitments, routines, reflections, and memories) on our servers so they’re available across your devices and so Lou can use them to answer your questions. Your conversation history with Lou is stored only on your own device, not on our servers — see “Conversations with Lou” below for how a conversation is still processed to generate a response.
Information from device features you enable
If you grant permission, Lou Minati reads (never writes to) the following, only to show it to you in the app — this information is never stored on our servers and is never sent anywhere except, for weather, a third-party weather lookup:
- Calendar events, to show your schedule
- Your approximate location, one time per request, to show local weather
- Your step count (Apple Health), to show today’s activity
Lou Minati does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, or contacts, and does not use advertising identifiers.
Information collected automatically
Our servers automatically log standard technical information with every request, including your IP address, the page or endpoint requested, and the time of the request — used for operating and securing the service, not for tracking you across the internet.
Waitlist sign-ups
If you join our waitlist from our website (separately from creating an account), we collect the email address you provide and share it with our marketing/CRM provider (see “Sharing Information” below).
How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Lou Minati’s features
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Generate the responses, affirmations, and briefings Lou gives you
- Respond to support and privacy requests
- Detect, prevent, and address abuse or security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your account or content for advertising, and we do not have an advertising or analytics vendor active in the app today.
AI Processing
Lou’s conversational replies, daily affirmations, and Morning Brief narration are generated using Anthropic’s AI models. To answer a question well, Lou may include relevant content you’ve stored — for example, the titles of your commitments or routines, your reflection notes, or a memory you’ve saved — in the request sent to Anthropic, in addition to your message itself.
Our agreement with Anthropic governs how it may use information submitted through our service. Anthropic does not receive your email address or other direct account identifiers as part of these requests.
Your conversation replies are generated fresh for you and are not stored on our servers. Your daily affirmation and Morning Brief narration, by contrast, are cached on our servers for the day they were generated (so Lou doesn’t need to regenerate them every time you open the app) and are deleted when you delete your account.
AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete. See our Terms of Use for more on how to treat Lou’s responses.
Sharing Information
We do not sell personal information.
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate Lou Minati, and only as necessary for them to perform their role:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, authentication, and data storage
- Anthropic — generating Lou’s AI responses (see above)
- HubSpot — only for waitlist sign-ups from our website, to manage communications with people who’ve joined the waitlist
We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LumaSeer, our users, or others.
Data Security
Your session credentials are stored using your device’s secure system storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android), never in plain app storage. We implement administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and industry-standard protections for data stored in our cloud infrastructure.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep the content you create in Lou Minati (commitments, routines, reflections, memories) for as long as your account exists. Some records are retained for a shorter, fixed period as part of normal operation:
- Sign-in sessions expire automatically after 30 days of inactivity
- Certain proactive notices (things Lou flags for your attention) are automatically removed about 90 days after you resolve or dismiss them
- Server request logs are kept for a limited operational window, then deleted
If you join our waitlist without creating an account, that email address is retained until you contact us to request its removal — see “Your Choices” below.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deleting your account removes your account and sign-in identity, and deletes the content described above (commitments, routines, reflections, memories, and related records) from our servers. Signing in again afterward always creates a brand-new account — nothing from a deleted account carries forward.
Because of how mobile app sessions work, a device that was already signed in at the moment of deletion may retain brief residual access for a short time afterward, even though the account itself has already been deleted and cannot be used to sign in again.
Your Choices
You may:
- Delete your account at any time from Settings in the app
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you that isn’t covered by in-app account deletion (for example, a waitlist sign-up)
To exercise these choices, contact us at hello@lumaseer.com.
Children’s Privacy
Lou Minati is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we’ve collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
International Users
Lou Minati’s infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use Lou Minati from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Third-Party Links
Lou’s responses may occasionally include links. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party site you visit.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lou Minati’s features change. We’ll post the updated version here with a revised effective date.
